If you have not already, please request an Acrobat Pro license by submitting a Service Request. This request does have to go through an approval process, so if you have already submitted it, wait to hear back from IT that you have been assigned a license, and at that point you should have an email invitation from Adobe to activate your new account. Click the link in that email and Adobe will guide you through the account setup.

Steps to Convert

Once you've received the Adobe email and created your account, here is how to convert your Acrobat Reader to Acrobat Pro.

  1. First, launch the version of Acrobat that you have installed.

  2. Second, in the upper right corner area of Acrobat, you will need to sign in using your Adobe credentials.

    Click "Sign in" here

Use your @nvdonor.org email address when signing into your Adobe account

After signing in, the program should now recognize you up in that top corner where we started:

  3. The next thing we're looking for is a link calls Tools or See all tools. The older version of Acrobat might just say Tools on the left side, but in this newer version it's a little different. Click See all tools in this case.

  4. Now go over to where you see Edit a PDF and click Open.

For those with an Acrobat license, it should start the upgrade process and that is all you need to do. If not, submit an incident ticket to the IT help desk.

In the meantime, though, you may be able to access your products straight from Adobe Creative Cloud in your browser.

In my case, I do not have a license to Acrobat Pro, so the message in the next screenshot is normal for me.
