As part of our continuing improvements to cybersecurity, we are adding multi-factor authentication to the VPN connections used for remote work (SonicWall Global VPN Client and SonicWall NetExtender).

 

Attached are the updated instructions for both GVC and NetExtender.


SonicWall Global VPN Instructions


Open the SonicWall Global VPN Client to view the connections.


 

Enable the connection to start the VPN connection process and wait for the window to Enter Username / Password

Enter your email address and Microsoft / Windows password.

Once you have entered your username and password and get to this screen below,
IT (MIGHT) NOT SEND YOU A TEXT.
 


From here you will have to sign in to the Microsoft Authenticator app, click on your username
 

 
Once you click on your username you will see a new screen with a 6 digit code that has a timer on the left of it.
 
 

 
This is the code that you will be typing in instead of the text if you have not received one.

 

After a short time, the connection will complete and you will have access to the NDN campus resources.

SonicWall NetExtender Instructions

Open SonicWall NetExtender and select your connection, enter your email address and Microsoft / Windows password, and enter nevada.donor for the domain.

During the connection, you will be prompted to enter your Microsoft Verification code.  Enter the code provided by Microsoft either through SMS text message or from your authenticator app (if applicable).

The connection will complete and you will be able to access NDN campus resources.
